I decided to throw a surprise birthday party for my wife, by inviting 4 of her good friends for a small dinner.
The menu was:
Charcoal grilled Turkish Bread and Garlic Paste (A Lebanese speciality)
Prosecco and wine
Spaghetti and home made pesto (basil from our garden)
More wine
Moroccan leg of lamb in the Weber (put in 1 and a half hours ago)
Corn grilled in the husk and fresh asparagus and a salad of leaves, toasted pine nuts and walnuts, and pears and grapes.
Blueberries, Raspberries & Strawberries in Prosecco jelly and Belgian chocolates
All went well, but the Weber was the star of the show. Get the coals going (about 40 minutes) then anything just cooks beautifully.
Well I probably get credit for about 2 weeks!!!

New way to enjoy Easter Eggs!
Hows this for a great way to refresh all of those Easter Eggs you have in the fridge?
Cut the top off and stuff full of ice cream, you have a great dessert for kids and the adults can try all sorts of combinations.
Cheers
Al

What to eat for lunch?
I don't know about you but I have to go to work in an office in the CBD of Sydney each and every day other than weekends! Usually the options are fast food, take away places or restaurants or pubs. All of which costs money and usually calories.
I try to take lunch from at least 3 times a week with the other 2 being something bought and another being either a work lunch or meet some friends or colleagues at the pub-usually Friday!
We usually cook and keep the left overs for lunch the next day and not much longer than that. The other option is to make a sandwich and then I buy a salad or eat some fruit.
One great option is to make some pesto - basil, olive oil and parmesan and salt and a little fresh chilli is great-beat the living daylights out of it in a mortar & pestle. Boil some spaghetti and bring them both to work separate. Mix and microwave and shave fresh parmesan, chopped rocket and salt and presto!!!!!! Verrry nice and cheap.
